Housing people experiencing homelessness not only helps those being housed, but also has a positive impact on the community as a whole. The purpose of the Pikes Peak Veteran Housing Fund is to get veterans experiencing or at risk of homelessness into housing. The Fund offers financial assistance to veterans to help them obtain housing as well as offering compensation to landlords if damages and unpaid rent are incurred. Residents enjoy the camaraderie of sharing activities and daily life with other veterans, friends and family. The Veterans Community Living Center at Fitzsimons serves veterans, veterans' spouses/widows and Gold Star parents.
